MELBOURNE HYDRO LEVITATOR
The
MELBOURNE HYDRO LEVITATOR (also an Eductor) is an effective
device using a fluid for moving slurries and a wide range of solids.
It can be used as a means for general clean-up operations or it can
be installed in a fixed situation for transporting concrete aggregate,
sand, food stuffs during processing, ash handling in the power industry,
grit blast, steel shot, rust scale, oil, sludge, sewage, mixing powder
to liquids, stripping product out of liquids, mixing liquids, dyeing
material.
How It Works
Through a tangential inlet, fluid under pressure is fed into a manifold
from where it exits into the Hydro Levitator main chamber (bore) via
a ring of holes drilled at an angle to the bore.
The acceleration of the fluid into the bore of the Hydro Levitator creates
a region of low pressure which will induce air, liquid or solids into
the exit bore of the Hydro Levitator, thus moving the products through
the device.
FEATURES
OF THE MELBOURNE HYDRO LEVITATOR
1. Venturi ring is housed in a robust casing which has high impact
strength that provides for a long damage free life in arduous field
operating environments.
2. Inlet and outlet tubes are manufactured from schedule 40 pipe.
3. Nozzle rings are available in bronze, stainless steel, Delrin
or tool steel.
4. A range of venturi rings provide for selection of both size
and number of holes.
5. Melbourne Hydro Levitators have full bore clearance, no restrictions.
This means that any solid matter that can freely enter the inlet tube
will pass through the device.
6. No moving parts.
