FLUIDISING (Hopper Feed) VALVE


The Melbourne Fluidising (or Hopper Feed) Valve overcomes ratholing, arching and binding with materials like dry chemicals, flour, coal, sand, lime or cement, and plastic resins. You can:-

Hopper Feed - Fluidising Valve
The MELBOURNE FLUIDISING Valve is made from stainless steel and therefore is corrosion resistant, contaminant free and hygienic.

The MELBOURNE Hopper Feed Valve is ideal for any industry which uses hoppers, bins, screw conveyors, tip trucks, in fact, virtually any container used in the transport/handling of bulk product.

HOW IT WORKS
A special socket is bolted or welded into the side of your bulk container and the MELBOURNE Hopper Feed Valve is simply screwed in.

When the valve is pulsed, the mushroom shaped piston head lifts 0.8mm to emit a 360° blast of air approximately one metre in radius.


The high velocity blast of air travels along the inside of the container wall, creating a low pressure zone above the piston head, pulling the product in from the centre and distributing it around the inside of the container wall.

This will fluidise the product in the container, creating a continuous flow condition.
 
Hopper with Valve
The piston is fitted with a teflon seal to enable unlubricated air to be used for the food and cement industries.
Control of the MELBOURNE Hopper Feed Valve is by a solenoid air valve and a state-of-the-art electronic controller.
The controller allows automatic or remote start up or shut down and complete versatility in programming the length and frequency of the pulses.

All installations are packaged to meet the individual customer’s requirements.
Fluidizing Valve Diag Hopper Problems
